The Rebirth of a Dying Star

How Raphinha Proved Himself

The Rebirth of a Dying Star

Since the beginning of the 24/25 football season, Barcelona have been looking to sign a winger to potentially replace Raphinha, and sell him to gain some profit. The prime target of the Blaugrana was Nico Williams, and it was almost certain that he had signed with the Catalan giants, until Athletic Club gave him the number 10 jersey, and he decided to stay with them. That ended Barcelona's dream of signing the brilliant Spanish talent to their team.

Everyone was frustrated, including the fans, and they wanted Raphinha out. Some had gone to the level of printing a Barcelona jersey with Nico's name and Raphinha number 11.

Raphinha was mad at this, as he directly commented on the fan's post, spamming many laughing emojis, which can only mean he doesn't like it.

On April 17, he took to Instagram to appreciate his love for the club.

And true to his word, he did deliver.

In Barcelona's terrific 7-0 victory against Real Valladolid on August 31, Raphinha scored his first career hat trick, and assisted one, winning himself the Man of the Match.

Raphinha had a wonderful match against Valladolid, proving himself with each goal. From a player that the fans wanted shipped to Saudi, to the hero of the club. Raphinha has truly started a second life, and we can expect no more banter against the Brazilian who has won the hearts of Culers for good.

The 27-year-old has a really promising career at Barcelona, and we can definitely expect him to keep delivering for the club, carrying the wings as a PnP, making assists and scoring sensational screamers. We have to thank Mr. Alemany for signing this man to FC Barcelona!
