Barcelona Finally Made The Right Decision

Ever since the exit of Dembele, Barcelona have lacked a PnP (Pace and Power) winger. Ex-gaffer Xavi had tried using Ferran and Raphinha, but even though they scored a lot of goals, they couldn't get the same effect that Dembele had.

Barcelona need a player so strong that could carry the wings on his own, convert each and every counter into a goal and could generally rule his domain. Now, Barcelona can have that with Nico Williams, who had a wonderful spell in the 2024 Euros, scoring two goals and assisting one, with one of his goals being in the final.

Barcelona know that they can't miss out on such a complete Spanish winger. His chemistry with star-youngster Lamine Yamal is off the charts, as they scored a lot of vital goals together. Having such a duo in club football is an absolute bargain for Barcelona.

It's almost guaranteed that Nico has signed for Barcelona by now. Nico has dropped certain hints, with some of them being an Instagram story about him sailing with the text "calm down 💆🏿‍♂️", and him revealing his idol to be Neymar. It's high time that his alleged five-year contract with the Catalan giants be publicized.

Barcelona can certainly sign him, since they're almost on the 1:1 FFP rule. The Spanish press has reported that Athletic Club has set Nico's release clause at €58 million, despite his market value being €70 million.

It is perhaps a done deal now, and Nico Williams will join hands with his friends Lamine, Pedri, Gavi and the lot. This is going to be a significant transfer for Barcelona, and we can only hope this will take back Barcelona to their glory days, and perhaps bring the UCL back to Camp Nou.
